How the Pot Water Calculator Works
We estimate watering in 4 steps:

Pot volume is calculated from your dimensions (in cm) and converted to liters.
- Round/tapered pot: V = (π × h / 12) × (Dtop² + Dtop×Dbottom + Dbottom²)
- Square pot: V = length × width × height
- Then: liters = cm³ / 1000

Media volume = pot volume × fill %

Base water = media volume × base watering %

Total water needed for runoff is calculated with:
- Water for 10% runoff = base water / 0.90
- Water for 20% runoff = base water / 0.80
So the suggested watering range is the result between the 10% and 20% runoff totals.
Example (default values): this gives about 5.3 L to 6.0 L total water.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the iCannaLog app.
Information We Process
When you use iCannaLog, the app may process data you create inside the app, including:
Plant details (name, start date, growth profile)
Watering logs (water amount, EC/CF, pH, temperature, runoff values, notes)
Fertilizer data (products, dosage setup, and usage totals by type)
Weekly plant photos
Tent setup and assigned HomeKit devices
Tent live values (for example temperature, humidity, air quality, and light power)
Siri shortcut settings (such as custom reply template text)
CSV exports you choose to create and share
How We Use Data
We use this data to provide app features, including:
Plant tracking and watering history
Charts and totals
Weekly photo timeline
Live Activity and Dynamic Island updates

Data Storage and Security
Your app data is stored primarily on your device.
Weekly photos are stored in encrypted app storage.
Some app data may be shared inside the app’s secure app group container for widgets and shortcuts.
If iCloud/CloudKit sync is enabled on your Apple account, data may also be synced through Apple services.
We do not sell your personal data.
Data Sharing
We do not share your app data with third-party advertisers.
Data is only shared when required to provide Apple platform features you use (such as HomeKit, Siri Shortcuts, iCloud sync, or the iOS share sheet when you export CSV).
CSV Export
When you export CSV, the file can include watering data, tent snapshot values, notes, and fertilizer totals by type.
You control where that file is shared or saved.
Legal Disclosure
We may disclose information only if required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or legal obligations.
Your Choices
You can edit or delete your logs and plant data inside the app.
If you remove the app, local app data is removed from the device (subject to iOS/iCloud backup behavior).

Any updates will be reflected in the app and by updating the effective date.
